Playa del Carmen is a vibrant city on the Caribbean coast of Mexico, aka the Riviera Maya. A sublime surf spot south of Perth


Margaret River is a town located in Western Australia, about 3 hours south of Perth. It is a popular tourist destination, known for its beautiful beaches, wineries, and world-class surfing. This region is home to over 40 surf breaks, ranging from beginner-friendly waves to challenging barrels. Some of the most popular surf spots include: 

    Mainbreak at Surfers Point: This is one of the most famous surf spots in Margaret River, and it is a great place to catch a wave regardless of your skill level. 
    The Box: This is a more advanced wave, and it is known for its steep, hollow barrels. Cowaramup Bombora ("Cow Bombie"): This is a large, powerful wave that is only suitable for experienced surfers.  
    Yallingup Main Break: This is a great wave for all skill levels, and it is a popular spot for both surfers and bodyboarders. 
    The Quarries: This is a series of reef breaks that offer a variety of waves, from beginner-friendly to advanced. 

In addition to its world-class surfing, Margaret River also has a lot to offer visitors in terms of other activities. These include:

A BC snow slope where the surf is always up

Surf's Up Ski Slope is a beginner and intermediate terrain park located in Whistler Blackcomb, in British Columbia (BC), Canada. It is one of the largest and most popular ski resorts in North America. 

    The park is a great place to learn how to snowboard or ski, or to practice your skills. It has a variety of features, including boxes, rails, and jumps. There are clinics available for all levels of skiers and snowboarders. The best time to visit Surf's Up Ski Slope is during the spring or fall, when the weather is mild and the crowds are smaller. However, the park is open from late November to early April, so you can enjoy it any time of year.

The Great Barrier Reef, a natural wonder of the world

The Great Barrier Reef is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Australia. It is a vast coral reef system composed of over 2,900 individual reefs and 900 islands stretching for over 1,400 miles over an area of approximately 133,000 square miles. The reef is located in the Coral Sea, off the coast of Queensland, Australia. 

    The Great Barrier Reef can be seen from outer space and is the world's biggest single structure made by living organisms. Known as coral polyps. There are many ways to experience the Great Barrier Reef. 

    You can go sailing, snorkeling or scuba diving to see the coral reefs and the marine life that lives there. You can see fish, turtles, dolphins, whales and sharks. You can also take a boat tour or a helicopter ride to get a bird's-eye view of the reef. If you want to stay on the reef, there are many resorts and hotels that offer accommodations. 

    The best time to visit from May to October when the weather is the most pleasant and the water visibility is best for diving. Pro tip: If you are a diver, make sure you go to the outer reef and don’t just stay in the inner reef. Most importantly, be respectful of the reef and remember that it is a fragile ecosystem that is under threat from climate change, pollution, and overfishing. 

    So take your sunscreen, but don’t leave it there. Do you part to protect this amazing natural wonder for future generations.

Hidden Tuscan gem, the Walled City

Lucca is a beautiful city in Tuscany, Italy. It is known for its well-preserved medieval city walls, its Piazza dell'Anfiteatro, and its many churches and palaces. 

    Lucca is a popular tourist destination, and is easily accessible from Florence and Pisa. The town was founded by the Etruscans in the 7th century BC. There are many things to see and do in Lucca. For example, take a walk or bike around the city walls: The city walls are one of Lucca's most iconic features. They are over 2 miles long, and offer stunning views of the city. One can also visit Piazza dell'Anfiteatro. This beautiful square was once an amphitheater. Furthermore, Lucca is home to many beautiful churches and palaces. Some of the most notable include the Duomo, the San Michele in Foro, and the Palazzo Pfanner. Or my personal favorite activity, take a cooking class. Lucca is home to a number of excellent cooking schools. This is a great way to learn about traditional Tuscan cuisine. 

    Lucca is a beautiful city year-round. Overall, Lucca is a beautiful and charming city that is well worth a visit. It is a great place to relax and enjoy the Italian way of life. Buona giornata! Ciao!

Tokyo: The City That Never Sleeps


Tokyo, the capital of Japan, is a city that never sleeps. It is a vibrant metropolis with a population of over 13 million people. Tokyo is home to a wide variety of attractions, from ancient temples and shrines to modern skyscrapers and shopping districts.

The Tokyo Metro subway system is the easiest way to get around the city center. You can also use the JR Yamanote Line to get around the city's outer districts.
