Queenstown: The Adventure Capital of New Zealand

Queenstown is a small town in the South Island of New Zealand that is known for its adventure activities. It is located on the shores of Lake Wakatipu, and is surrounded by mountains, making it a truly beautiful place to visit. 

    If you are looking for a place to relax and enjoy the scenery, Queenstown is also a great option. There are many restaurants, bars, and shops in town, and you can also take a boat cruise on Lake Wakatipu. 

    But, for those seeking a little adrenalin rush, there are many different adventure activities that you can do whilst there. For example, hike to the top of Ben Lomond, a mountain that overlooks Queenstown. There is a popular hiking track that leads to the top, where you will be rewarded with stunning views of the town and the surrounding mountains. 

    You can also go fly in the sky: Bungee jumping is one of the most popular adventure activities in Queenstown. There are several different companies that offer bungee jumping, and we have it on good authority that the world’s highest bungee jump is in the area. Not for the faint of heart! 

    Of course, white-water rafting or skydiving are other popular adventure activities in the area. But the most unique experience is probably jet boating.  What a great way to see the scenery around Queenstown and have some real fun. There are several different companies that offer jet boat rides, and you can choose a trip that is appropriate for you. 

    In the winter there is skiing or snowboarding. There are several different ski resorts located near Queenstown. If all that fails and you do not want to spend more fees on a tour operator, then consider just taking control yourself and going hiking or biking, there are many great trails located near to town. 

    Queenstown is a great place to visit for a vacation. There are so many different activities that you can do. If you are looking for a heart-pumping adventure, this is one of the best places you could ever visit.
